On Thursdays through November 20th from 12:10 to 1 pm, the Academy is again offering “Lunch with the Masters” where participants bring their brown bag lunch and enjoy wonderful DVDs of the world's most famous artists. On September 25, Michelangelo (1495/1564) will be featured; Delacroix (1789-1863) on October 2; both Monet (1857-1927)&Degas (1834-1917) on October 9; on October 16, Mary Cassatt (1844-1926), and Van Gogh (1857-1891) on October 23. Artists and teachers, Don and Joyce Nagel, will be your hosts for this private “trip to the museum.” The viewing is FREE!

Also, on Friday, December 5, 2008, from 5 to 7 p.m., the Academy has scheduled the opening reception of its largest judged student exhibit of the year which includes artwork of students who attended spring, summer, and/or fall classes. For each class in which they were enrolled, students may exhibit one piece. In order to be included, you must drop off your artwork at the Academy on December 1, 2, or 3. If you have questions, please contact the Academy. You do not want to miss this celebration of ART! Mark your calendars now.
