President's Message

As we enter the Holiday Season we need to take a moment and reflect on 2008. Personally, I'm thankful for many things, one being our Art League. We've made significant strides forward in our finances and in operational changes. Attend our open Board meeting on Wednesday Dec. 17, 3-5pm, and learn more about them. We'll also be nominating our 2009 Board at this meeting. I want to thank outgoing Board members Chris Clayton, Barbara Snow and Anita Stephens for a job well done: Chris for 2 years, Barb for her 9 years of super dedicated service, and Anita for one year of excellent service. I'd also like to thank the many members who've helped with the monthly openings and show hangings, special events and Academy work; we would not have succeeded without your assistance! And to all our membership, a Merry Christmas and healthy and prosperous New Year!

The Holidays are approaching and the Art League Gallery presents its annual Holiday Arts Boutique with an opening reception to thank our volunteers on December 9, 5-7pm. The Boutique runs through January 3, 2009.

This year our fundraiser was a moderate success considering the current tough economy. Overall we sold 48 tickets and had over 80 works of art donated.
A sincere Thank You to all artists, who donated, for your support! The Art League truly appreciated it!
