This year we are in a healthier position and would like to reinstitute some programs that we had to pull back on, such as the scholarship fund. The response last year was wonderful, from the support we received from our artist members, who donated a valuable painting, to the excited ticket buyers. Everyone had a really fun time!
This year's event will be very similar, just better! The tentative plan is to hold the event on Sunday, November 16th. For those of you not familiar with the details, we will issue ONE hundred tickets at a $100 each. We will have ONE hundred paintings, photographs, or three-dimensional artworks donated by Art League artists. The art objects that were donated last year were valued between $150 and $800. The donated artworks will go on display for four days before the event, so everyone can view them and make their selection. The tickets are drawn from a “hat” and the first person's name drawn gets to choose first, and so on. The last person still has a selection, because we arrange for more paintings than tickets sold.
This is a win-win situation - no matter when you get to choose. EVERYONE receives an artwork of higher value than the ticket price.

The paintings, photographs or three-dimensional art can be any size or subject. The paintings/photographs need to be framed or paintings may be gallery-wrapped, and ready for hanging.
