The summer session began the week of June 2nd. Our summer teacher exhibit is available for your viewing during our regular class hours. In addition, the Academy is highlighting student works from instructor Joyce Nagel's Impressionistic and Abstract Landscape class.

Our Art Academy has worked diligently to provide valuable class offerings. Your support will insure continuance of the Academy and these varied choices. Bring your neighbors and friends who have been afraid to uncover their artistic talents.

Besides our usual courses which include acrylics, watercolor, drawing, open painting, and life drawing, we are offering workshops in pen and ink techniques, art history, drawing with a “clothed model.” photography, ancient coiled basket making, Photoshop revisited, painting on silk, and representational abstract acrylic painting. For the younger “budding” artist, we have beginning acrylics for youth (ages 8-15), exploring art through color and line (ages 7-12), puppet playshop (ages 6&up), and storytelling with puppets (ages 6-12). Various courses run from one half day to eight weeks, and classes are available through Aug. 23.
