On Nov. 7, DENNIS LAKE will teach a new class entitled “fall colors” in oil or acrylic while JOYCE NAGEL will begin a three-session “perspective for painters” drawing class. LYNDA POTTER is back on Nov. 12 to teach an opaque watercolor workshop. In addition, BARB SNOW will demonstrate the techniques of how to choose a frame and mat, measure and cut a mat, etc. in a half-day workshop on Nov. 14. On Nov. 19 (NEW DATE), ADDISON PALMER will instruct a “mixed media” all-day workshop. Lastly, ROSEMARY HURKAMP will teach a three day “introduction to acrylics” class in the afternoons of Dec. 6-8.

The FREE “Lunch with the Master” series will continue on Thursdays from 12:10 to 1 pm. Courbet, Church,&Monet will be featured on Nov. 3 as a segment of the four-part series on “the world's greatest artists.” On Nov. 10, Whistler, Degas, and Renoir will be featured while Sargent, Manet,&Seurat will be highlighted on Nov. 17. The series will pick up again on Thursday, Dec. 1, with Cezanne, Van Gogh,&Homer.

Life drawing class with nude models will be available from 7 to 9 pm on specific Monday evenings if we have our minimum number of students necessary to run the class. The fee is $10 per session for Art League members and current students. Contact the Academy administrator at 842-5738 if you wish to be put on the e-mail distribution list for weekly announcements.
