Also we want to give a special thank you to our faculty members who contributed donations for the raffle and/or did one-hour demonstrations on various methods. The guests loved the demos! Jane Norris, our cake design instructor, did a superb job making three theme cakes for the event! The specially designed t-shirts will be available to order from the Academy until Nov. 14 for $15 each. Sizes will range from medium, large, x-large, and xx-large. Ordered shirts will be available to pick up by Dec. 12. (See photo on right.)

Also, on Friday, December 5, 2008, from 5 to 7 p.m., the Academy has scheduled the opening reception of its largest judged student exhibit of the year which includes artwork of students who attended spring, summer, and/or fall classes. We are pleased to announce that Walter Greer will be our judge for the exhibit. For each class in which students were enrolled, they may exhibit one piece. In order to be included, you must drop off your artwork at the Academy on December 1 or 2 between the hours of 1 to 4 pm. If you have questions, please contact the Academy. You do not want to miss this celebration of ART! Mark your calendars now.

Work is underway to set up the winter schedule so that the information can be printed and available for enrollments. Hopefully, we will have some evening classes available for members who work during the day. Look for the winter brochure in your mailboxes during the week of November 17!
